PROTECTIVE TOE

 

 

All Rocky boots that carry this symbol have a Steel or a Composite Toe Cap. Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75. 

 

ELECTRICAL HAZARD (EH) RATED

 

All Rocky boots that carry this symbol are Electrical Hazard (EH) Rated Footwear These boots are built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.

 

NON-METALLIC/ SECURITY FRIENDLY

 

 

All Rocky boots that carry this symbol are constructed using no metal materials or parts. Perfect for working environments that require passing through metal detectors.

 

PUNCTURE RESISTANT

 

All Rocky boots that carry this symbol have Puncture resistance to reduce the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) from penetrating through soles of the boots that might cause injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.

 

 

METATARSAL (MET) GUARD

 

 

All Rocky boots that carry this symbol Footwear provide Metatarsal Protection, which  is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either Internal or External Metatarsal Guards.
