There is 6" of Black Leather and Timberland Boot Technology that surround the foot with protection. The Boondock has a Composite Safety Toe with an Electrical Hazard (EH) Rating that meets the ASTM Standard for footwear protection and they have Deep Rugged Lug Outsoles that are Slip and Oil Resistant. A Rubber Toe Guard and a Leather Heel Guard protect feet both front and back. An Internal Waterproof Membrane and Goodyear Welt/Cement Construction work together to completely seal out water as well as any other types of liquids. A Padded Leather Collar and Timberland Boot's Anti-Fatigue Technology keep you comfortable when on the job, or out on the streets.
